I Want To Do It Myself!

Gramma says, "Do it myself" is my new name. Today we went to the pool and I met Chloe. Chloe is four and I'm two, but we became fast friends and whatever Chloe did, I did. Gramma took pictures of me in the beginning, but then, off came the water wings because I wanted to swim by myself, just like Chloe. As a result, Gramma had to put the camera away and act as my personal body guard. Gramma wasn't happy when I followed Chloe from the kids bath-water warm pool to the big cold pool. Gramma begged me to stay in the bath-water pool, but I wanted to go with Chloe, and I wanted to do everything by myself. So, I swam, jumped, kicked and played like a big girl. Gramma said motivation is a wonderful thing. I said I want to do that by myself too.

As if that wasn't bad enough, Drew decided to do things by himself also. He turned seven months old today and walks around his play area like a ten month old. Gramma said with our genetic makeup we were born to be independent.
