"The snow's coming back! The snow's coming back. Outside! Outside!" Mommy said, "I'm too tired." Grandpa said, "It's too cold." But Gramma said, "Put your coat on!" Five weeks after having a baby, mommy's still out of shape; we need to get her a gift card to the gym. It took her 30 minutes to get me dressed, but by golly, I stayed warm. While Gramma and I trudged through the "elephants," we pretended like we were in the "Him-lalas" where she wants to take me some day if she stays young enough. Sounds like a long shot. Anyway, she told me about the "monkeys" and pointed out the beautiful "monsters." We don't always understand each other's words, but we both like to here the sound of each other's voices. She said I was very brave when I walked across the high swinging bridges, but that was nothing after surviving my Daddy's idea of "spring training" in the swimming pool. Then we walked through deep rivers and up steep snow banks. We watched children playing up and down the high moutains. When we came to the Yak trains, I said "choo choo" and we clung to the inside of the mountain trail. Gramma pointed out Mt. Rest, her favorite, and Mt. Ama Dab where the snow princess lives which is my favorite. We made snow angels, snow prints and snow balls. Then we climbed to the top of the tallest mountain. Finally, Gramma said our trek to the Him-lalas was over, but I said, "No way, Hozay." She thought I was cold, but I wasn't. She said I sounded like my daddy when he was two and crying, "Won't anybody play ball with me." Oh well, she promised she would take me trekking again tomorrow, and I won't forget.
