Gramma Rosie and I get up early so we can have girl talk while the boys are sleeping. I talk about my mom and dad all the time, so if Gramma Rosie thinks I'm missing them, she shows me pictures. She says it will refresh my memory, but I really think she is grooming me to tell the family secrets. I like the pictures because they show that my mommy and I have style. For example: My mom and I like to dress up and be glamorous and thanks to Gramma Rosie, I have costumes from every country she's been to. Gramma looks a little "plain Jane," but my mom looks like a run-a-way model, so Gramma Rosie thinks the pictures of us together should attract an agent.

Drew's first swim lesson

This morning, Gramma Rosie and I were up first, so we had some time for "Girl Talk." I told her about the time that mommy lost me in the jungle. Her ears perked up and she wondered about my safety here in the wilds of Canada.

Today, we were going to go swimming at 11:00, but Baby Drew fell asleep, so we hung out in our swim suits while he took a nap. After crawling all over the gym yesterday, he was still tired today and so was I. Our parents need to come home so we can have some down time! The grandparents seems determined to keep us away from cartoons. Baby Drew is like a fish; he put his head in, splashed and kicked and thought he could swim. Gramma Rosie woke a sleeping giant on this one because she will not be able to keep him away from the water when we get to Mike's. Everyone will be on lifeguard alert. As for me, I went down the slide by myself and then with Grandpa. Grandpa wasn't happy when twice I got to the top of the ladder and said it was too cold to go down. But guess what - I still talked him into going again. Baby Drew and I had a lot of fun and so did our grandparents; although, Gramma seemed to be a little perturbed when I was the only child in the pool that got out to go to the bathroom. I wonder why?

After swimming, we guzzled the snacks and Baby Drew agreed with me that snack time is the best part of the day. Now Gramma is getting our stuff together for Papa Herb's 90th birthday. I can hardly wait for our next adventure.

The Walmart Chase

This was a banner day and one that Gramma Rosie said was worth writing about.First, we went to the gym and jumped, ran and tumbled for over an hour. The grandparents ran us through every piece of equipment and we left with Drew having one pink cheek. Gramma said it was okay and she was sure they would be the same color by the time our parents came home. Drew loved making himself a twin in the mirror. Gramma Rosie always thought she wanted twins, but even she was starting to have doubts today. Grandpa thought if he wore us out in the morning, we would be mellow enough for him to watch the golf channel. Not so––Gramma Rosie had other plans.

After lunch and naps, Grandpa and I put together Drews new ride toy. There are a few drawbacks. First of all, Drew can't reach the pedals, so he turns around and pushes it the other way. While that's not a problem, when he climbs up the handle, which looks like a ladder from Drew's vantage point, Gramma has to say, "No, Drew! Sit on your bum." Gramma sounds like Mommy, but Drew takes a step down, laughs, takes a step back up and stands on his seat. Sure enough, before Gramma could get to him, over he went. Not to worry, he didn't even cry.

The sun was warm and shinny so we went outside to ride our ride toys. We had lots of fun racing up and down the deck. Drew and I both won and we were on a roll.

Then the wheels started coming off the truck. Gramma had to go to Walmart to copy some pictures for her project, so she left me and Drew with Grandpa at the play structure. After we played awhile, Drew tired of the slide and started pushing the Walmart cart around. First he ran it over his toe and I thought that looked like fun, so I ran the cart over my toe. It's a good thing we were the only two in the play area. Next, I yelled, "I gotta go Pee." Grandpa put Drew in the cart and raced me to the men's bathroom, but there was a man holding down the only stall, so he raced me to the woman's and saw a nice lady who offered to take me in. She took me in and brought me back. Grandpa thanked her but I said, "I didn't need to wash my hands, I need to pee." So, Grandpa raced me back into the mens and I went pee; then he washed my hands and started washing his and Baby Drew's. At this point, I took off running. Don't ask me why...I'm just three, so I don't know everything. Grandpa and Baby Drew started chasing me but two women cut me off at the pass and said, "Does she belong to you?" Grandpa said yes, so they went on. Then, I took off running again and looked back see Grandpa running along pushing Drew in the Walmart cart and realized that Gramma Rosie had joined us and was running after him. I was laughing and Baby Drew was laughing, so she started laughing too. The only one not laughing was Grandpa. Grandma passed him and Drew, and caught up to me. She was moving pretty fast; I guess she is back in training for another trek. After that, Gramma sobered up and gave me the usual lecture and I said, "Sorry," and promised not to ever run from them again. We all made up and went to eat 'nunus' at the food court. Baby Drew trashed our whole area because the high chairs don't have their own trays, so Drew was pulled up with us where he could grab and smear everything. I told Gramma that Drew needed his own tray. Gramma always makes us sit close to the garbage cans, so it didn't take too long to clean up. When we finally got home, we were bushed. We read books and passed out. I suggested the grandparents get a good nights sleep so they'll be ready for tomorrow. Don't worry about us, Gramma Rosie was still smiling when she tucked us in and Grandpa had the golf channel on; it's like his "blankie."

A busy afternoon with the grandparents

After running around the play structure for two hours, Drew and I were bushed. He took a two hour nap and would have slept longer, but Gramma said she was afraid he would sleep through supper. After Grandpa and Drew took their naps, we went to Staples to find more craft supplies and then to Walmart to pick up few things we needed. For example, I got more play dough and purple sparkly glasses for our trip to Florida next week. Drew got a ride toy. Tomorrow, Grandpa Jimmy will put it together and he will oil my tricycle so it will turn. Gramma and I folded clothes and she looked rather chagrinned when I told her that I had little underwear, my mommy had little underwear and she had big underwear. She didn't eat a lot for supper, but Drew and I did. We were starved. I hope Mom and Dad come home soon so we can rest.

Gramma might get a reprimand

This morning we went to the play structure and had a great time, but there was one problem. Gramma got in a hurry while getting all of our stuff together. As a result, she poured me some milk and then fixed a bottle for my baby brother. We pulled on our coats and boots, climbed into our car seats and Grandpa drove us the Kingwood. On the way, I said: "Gramma Rosie, Drews not drinking his milk." Gramma said, "Oh it's okay." But I didn't think it was. When we got there, Grandpa said, "Drew drank all of his milk. Oh no, he poured it out." His bottle was empty and his car seat and the seat of the car were all wet. It seems that Gramma forgot to put the middle piece in the bottle which allowed Drew the fun of pushing his nipple into the bottle and pouring out his milk. On the way home, Gramma said she'd probably get fired, but Grandpa said after watching us race through the play structure, he was fairly sure that there was no one else standing in line waiting to take care of us, so she'd probably get off with a reprimand. I'm not sure what that word means, but I think it's like a "time out"

Breakfast in bed with the Grandparents

Gramma and Drew woke up early as usual; she likes it because she gets all of his snuggles. Once I got up, we jumped on Grandpa Jimmy and announced to Gramma Rosie: "We want breakfast in bed!!!" We had great fun, and now we are ready for the day

The play area

While I was skating, Drew was playing in the play area. He didn't know he was the smallest person behind bars, so he had fun crawling all over the place, taking toys away from others. Gramma Rosie said we need to socialize him before we go to Florida. I'm trying, but so far I don't see any improvement.

Hockey Time in New Brunswick

Today I had my third skating lesson. Gramma Rosie said I did great, but this was from someone who cracked her head in a skating rink. Anyway, I ran the obstacle course, threw balls and did the Hokey Pokey all on skates. I might play hockey when I grow up.

Gramma is teaching me to sing and dance

I'm still working on my puppets. Today I made Mommy and Daddy. I gave Daddy white hair. I don't know why Gramma Rosie laughed when I said Daddy would like it.

It was too cold outside to climb the highest mountain, so we did our exercises and then Gramma Rosie put the music on so we could sing and dance. I put on my Minnie Mouse dress so it would flare out when she taught me how to twirl around, swing my arms and tap my feet. Gramma Rosie said I'm a shoo in for "America's Got Talent." If anyone should know best, it's her because she told me Gramma's know best.

Yesterday, Drew showed his stubborn side

Drew threw a big fit because he couldn't close the lid on his car while keeping his foot inside. Then He tried to get both feet in and stand on it. After that, he walked two steps with his blocks but when Gramma Rosie turned on the video and held out her hand, hesat down and said, "No way Hosay!" Mommy says he's stubborn like Daddy. Daddy says he's stubborn like Mommy. No one says he's stubborn like me; I think that's a compliment.

Snow Days

Gramma and I walked in the snow, climbed the highest mountain and spent time sledding. I think Gramma Rosie needs to go on a diet because she sunk four feet and had to craw out of our backyard. She did get some exercise pulling me and my sled back up the hill.

Why does everyone want Baby Drew to walk?

Baby Drew crawls across the room at full speed and takes my things before I have a chance to get them out of reach. He doesn't need to walk. But today, Gramma Rosie coached him along anyway.
I finally got her to give it a rest and get my craft supplies out; Drew grabbed for those too. Gramma Rosie said he's just determined, but she raised her voice when he got her new iphone 4. Now she knows how I feel.

Day one with the grandparents, Part 2

Day one with the grandparents was pretty laid back. Mom said that we needed to take it easy after being sick for two weeks. Gramma Rosie said that Grandpa was our "go to guy" for taking it easy. I don't know what she meant, but it felt good to snuggle in Grandpa's lap and watch Mickey Mouse Club House. In the afternoon, while Baby Drew had his nap, Gramma and I made sock puppets so we can get ready for our puppet show. Gramma Rosie showed me how to thread the yarn needle and make the hair for the puppets. I threaded the needle all by myself because I'm a big girl now. Then I panted their faces and dressed them up a little. Gramma Rosie said I am the only artist our family has ever produced.

The Grandparents are back, so life is good

The grandparents are finally back at work after a long rest. They should be ready for anything, but already Drew has them on their toes while I am my usual angelic self. Now Drew wants everything I have and he is the aggressor. I heard the staff talking about him at my daycare. Wait until he finds out what "time out" means.
